PayPal Website Payments Pro Help

Using PayPal Website Payments Pro with Charge It requires three pieces of information to function correctly: your PayPal API Username, API Password, and your API Signature. If you are having trouble, these are the first thing to check. To retrieve these:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account and click on Profile.
  2. In the left hand "Account Information" column click "API Access."
  3. Click on "Request API Credentials", check "API Signature", agree to the terms and press Submit.
This information must be entered into the settings screen in Charge It exactly as shown. Make sure that you have all of the right letters capitalized. This step is where most users encounter a problem, so please be very careful.

Please note that a personal use PayPal account is not sufficient for Charge It. To use Charge It with PayPal, you must have a business account configured for Website Payments Pro. For information on creating such an account, please visit PayPal's Website.

The Test URL function under the PayPal options is for use with a Sandbox developer account. PayPal allows anyone to create a free developer account that you can use to verify that your processing is being handled correctly before connecting the app to your live account. For more information, please visit https://developer.paypal.com.

If you still have trouble, please feel free to contact us or report a problem.
